Design

We design and create some very individual frames. From football and rugby shirts, to horse blankets and saxophones, we find inventive ways to present them at their best.

Style

In addition, we will frame to any style. We are happy to source mouldings for your particular artefact, be it baby’s feet moulds, or historical medals, or a collection of your favourite bits and bobs.

Saxophone Box Frame

This rather unusual box frame is an excellent example of the many techniques used in creating a spectacular piece of art.

The mount was designed and cut using our top-of-the-range computerised mount cutter.

The contents were fixed in place and a box frame was made to house the weighty work.

The whole construction is finished with a beautiful coppery moulding and fixed to the wall using specialised fixings.

Baby Shoes Box Frame

This gorgeous, solid wood, deep box frame was made specially for these wonderful bronzed baby shoes.

We sourced a deepx ‘bare-wood’ moulding, enough to take the shoes without needing additional elements.

The frame was hand-finished using stain and wax.

Tower of London Poppy Box Frame

Sue Garnett found the perfect moulding for this frame and innovatively and beautifully lined the interior with plush velvet and grass.

The skillful and artistic result is the perfect way to present this most precious artifact.

World War II Escape Map Handkerchief Box Frame

World War II pilot’s escape map silk handkerchief represented an interesting challenge as the customer wanted to see both sides.

Jane Smith decided to suspend the entire piece in the frame. so there was no chance of the delicate silk fabric touching the glass, which could result in condensation ruining the historic piece.

Full conservation methods were used, and the internal edges were finished off with a fabric that appears to exactly match the well-chosen frame, reminiscent of the materials associated with the history of World War II.

Cricket memorabilia Box Frame

Sports shirts can be framed simply, or give special treatment. The frame needs to be deep enough to not touch the artwork, and additional depth creates excellent perspective on 3-D items.

The computerized mount-cutter was put to the test with the bat-shaped and wicket-shaped apertures, which are millimetres larger than the items themselves.
